As you know, after submitting all our self assessment tax returns in record time, I spent the first part of the year training for an ironman triathlon (thank you for all your support by the way) and the team have been handling the day to day work in my absence. To improve our resources in the future we will be joining with Anthony Smith FCMA and his team from 30 September. As a chartered management accountant with significant industry experience, Anthony and his team will enhance our business advice services with his qualification and his industry experience.
On a practical level, there will be no changes as you will continue to deal with the same people in our new Nailsea offices and the trading name of the company will be unchanged.
Dawn Bettney ACA – Chartered Accountant
Sarah Yi – tax adviser
Jenna Croker – small business clients and payroll
Maralyn Radice AAT – bookkeeper
Holly Bailey – PA
Lorna Holdom – systems administrator
Della Hudson FCA – business consultant
You should still contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 01275 406287. Behind the scenes we will become Anthony Smith & Co. Ltd, a firm of Chartered Management Accountants. In the short term all Hudson Accountants Limited contracts will be assigned to Anthony Smith and Co Limited with effect from 30 September and the registered office will become 4 Chartfield House, Castle street, Taunton TA1 4AS (although it is important to note that there will be no changes to the Nailsea office). Any references to ICAEW standards will be replaced with CIMA standards and new contracts will be issued in due course to tidy up the paperwork.
With two offices the new company will have additional resources in the form of eight additional staff with varying qualifications and expertise and, whilst we will no longer be registered auditors, we have made provision for this to be handled separately.
In order for you to meet Anthony and his business partner Diana, we have set aside 21 September 2017 if you require a formal meeting to discuss your requirements and to meet Anthony and Diana. There will also be welcome drinks to be held 5-7pm in the Nailsea office if you would like to meet less formally. In the meantime I’ve attached some further information about Anthony and his business partner, Diana Florea and, you can find out more about the other half of the enlarged business on their website anthonysmithandco.co.uk.
We do hope that you will join us on the 21st to raise a glass to the exciting future of Hudson Business Accountants & Advisers.
